About
I endeavour to offer a unique service, rooted in psychological theory and psychotherapeutic concepts. 'Therapist' or 'psychologist' are not titles I use, though I could. I like to think that the work I do constitutes psychological assistance through discussion, dialogue, open-mindedness, experimentation, and challenge. I harness concepts from integrative psychotherapy - in which I am trained - and also core areas in psychology (e.g. cognitive, biological, evolutionary). My aim is to offer you a chance to engage with whatever you are stuck on, whether this is through a therapeutic endeavour (short or long term), or psychological consulting where we plan and strategise around your problem, through a single session format.
I bring to the table for you a history of working in private, public and third sector settings. I have worked extensively with clients from all walks of life, of all ages, and all with individual stories, concerns, and goals. I have experience of working with: trauma, depression, anxiety, anger, self-harm, crisis management, risk and safeguarding, redundancy, relationships, and much more.
Together we engage and deal with your emotional, cognitive and behavioural life in a way that fits you best, across the many levels that define us as human - the social, the biological, and the evolutionary creatures that we are.
